About Rachel

I grew up in the mountains of Wyoming, fostering a love of nature and a sense of the importance of environment. I trained in modern and ballet dance, connecting to the importance of movement and information from the body.

The beauty of San Luis Obispo called me to attend California Polytechnic State University where I studied Psychology and Dance. I was a member of the Orchesis Dance Company throughout my time at Cal Poly.

These passions and courses of study lead me to the San Francisco Bay Area to obtain my MA in Somatic Counseling Psychology. I graduated from California Institute of Integral Studies in 2013 having experience with somatic counseling at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy. From there, I practiced in multiple settings including grief clinic, schools and non-profit/community based organizations.

I served the San Luis Obispo and Central Coast communities working with Family Care Network in the roles of Social Worker, Therapist and Supervisor for the Wraparound program. I continue to support in growth and healing for individual adults, teens, children and families in my private practice.

When not in the therapy world, you can find me practicing yoga, hiking, enjoying the Central Coast beaches and nature.
